As a life long Seattle girl, I have to admit some nostalgia. I grew up with the Fun Forest. I won my first (and last) oversized stuffed unicorn throwing rings over bottles -- and free falling down from the top of the Pirate Ship is still a sense I can't shake. It seemed like a great safe place for kids back in the mid/late '80's.

That said, I can't argue with more urban green space - and I love the idea of a park to walk through as a connector of lower Queen Anne and (what seems like a desolate corner of ) Downtown.

I hope they can make room for a mini carnival once a year for those kids who can't get to Puyallup.
